Do not use while pregnant or breastfeeding.
Bergamot: Photosensitive: Avoid direct sunlight for 12 hours after topical use. May cause skin sensitization if oxidized. To prevent oxidation, store in a dark, airtight container in a refrigerator.
Patchouli: Do not use patchouli in cases of anorexia or with elderly people who have lost their appetite as it can reduce appetite. May inhibit blood clotting.
Orange: Photosensitive: Avoid direct sunlight for up to 12 hours after topical use.
Ylang Ylang: Repeated use can possibly result in contact sensitization. Take care when using Ylang Ylang, for too high a concentration or using it for too long a time, can give rise to nausea and/or headache (Davis, 315). Ylang-ylang essential oil has a deeply relaxing effect and should not be used prior to driving, operating machinery, or doing other tasks that require concentration (Althea Press, 421). Use caution when dealing with low blood pressure (Axe). Do not use on children under the age of 2.
Eucalyptus Globulus: Not intended for small children. Use with caution while breastfeeding. Avoid using this oil with homeopathic remedies. Do not apply to or near the face of infants and children under the age of 10 (can cause breathing problems in babies and young children).
Black Pepper: Can cause extreme skin irritation. May cause skin sensitization if oxidized. To prevent oxidation, store in a dark, airtight container in a refrigerator.
Rosemary: Not for use by people with epilepsy. Contraindicated for asthma. Avoid if dealing with high blood pressure.
Cinnamon Leaf: Drug interaction. May inhibit blood clotting. May contain safrole. Skin sensitization. Mucous membrane irritation.
Laurel Leaf: Potentially carcinogenic. Essential oils high in 1,8-cineole can cause CNS and breathing problems in young children. Skin sensitization.
Fir needle: Skin irritation. Skin sensitization if oxidized. Old or oxidized oils should be avoided.
Cassia: May contain methyleugenol. Drug interaction. May inhibit blood clotting. Embryotoxicity. Skin sensitization. Mucous membrane irritation. Do not use while pregnant or breastfeeding.
Vetiver: may contain isoeugenol
If for any reason you get essential oils in your eyes, put carrier oil along the eyebrows above the eyes and on the cheekbones below the eyes.
Do not put essential oils inside the ear canal.
