Lovely Essential Oil Blend
Lovely is a select blend of essential oils including:
Geranium (Pelargonium roseum), Lavender (Lavendula angustifolia), Rose (Rosa damascena), Blue Tansy (Tanecetum annum), Orange (Citrus sinensis), Cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica), Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata).
The oils in this blend may help to reduce stress and anxiety.
Antidepressant, sedative, menstrual problems, nervous tension, fainting, insomnia, hysteria, sores, burns and scalds, antiseptic, neuralgia, eczema, sore throats, inflammation, cuts, wounds, dermatitis, acne (Worwood, 19-20, 401).
Anxiety, depression, menopause support, PMS, sedative, stress, insomnia, irritability, nightmares, acne, aging skin, analgesic, antibacterial, antiseptic, bruise, burn, insecticide, insect repellant, lice, skin care, sore throat, wounds, dandruff, dermatitis, insect bites, itchiness, muscle pain and stiffness, sprains and strains (Althea Press, 333, 349).
Manage symptoms of dementia and age-related physical discomfort, PMS, lice, ticks, and fleas (Buckle, 192).
Relaxation, burns, damaged skin (Schnaubelt, 129, 168).
Depression, nervous tension, regulates menstrual flow, menopausal symptoms, PMS, wound care, speeds healing, antiseptic, acne, bruises, minor burns, scalds, dermatitis, eczema, head lice, ease pain, sore throat, tonsillitis, mouth infections, inflammation, kills bacteria, antibiotic, antiviral, insect bites, insect repellent, sores, pimples, antiviral, antibiotic, throat infections, muscular aches and pains, muscle tension (Purchon, 61, 72-73).

Topical: Massage diluted on bottoms of feet or wrists.

Internal: Although the quality of Selah Oils is excellent, it is not advised to take essential oils internally unless under the guidance of a certified physician who is also certified in aromatherapy. We recommend getting internal dosing instructions from a licensed physician as some essential oils are not recommended for oral consumption. This is in no way a reflection on our oil quality, only a matter of safety and caution with respect to how concentrated essential oils are. When used within safe parameters, and under your physician's care, the quality of our essential oils is such that they can be used internally if deemed appropriate.
However, with that said, it is important to remember the extreme concentration of essential oils. "Using essential oils by rubbing them into the skin or via inhalation is in many cases more effective than oral delivery" (Schnaubelt 96).

Geranium: Dilute before applying to skin. Repeated use can result in contact sensitization. Not intended for children under 6 years old; use with caution and greater dilution in children over 6 years old.
Lavender: No known issues.
Rose: May be sensitizing to the skin.
Blue Tansy: May interact with antidepressant medication.
Orange: Photosensitive: Avoid direct sunlight for up to 12 hours after topical use.
Cedarwood: None known.
Ylang ylang: Repeated use can possibly result in contact sensitization. Take care when using Ylang Ylang, for too high a concentration or using it for too long a time, can give rise to nausea and/or headache. Ylang-ylang essential oil has a deeply relaxing effect and should not be used prior to driving, operating machinery, or doing other tasks that require concentration. Do not use on children under the age of 2.
If for any reason you get essential oils in your eyes, put carrier oil along the eyebrows above the eyes and on the cheekbones below the eyes.
Do not put essential oil inside the ear canal.
